Our Nursery enjoyed a wonderfully festive parent workshop! The session began with the children proudly singing a few Christmas songs for their parents — a lovely way to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. After the singing, families enjoyed a range of Christmas activities together. The children were kept very busy as they: Made reindeer food Decorated baubles and stockings Decorated (and then happily ate!) biscuits, while parents enjoyed a mince pie Explored different Chr

Toy Donations!
Thank you to all our children and families who made a toy donation this year - you all did SO well! Mrs Francis loaded them all into her car and took then to Beacon Church, ready to be collected and taken to a local refuge. Rev Chris was 'chuffed' with how much school had collected on behalf of the Refuge. They hadn't had many donations this year until he collected from Beacon Church and School on behalf of the local community. They can now help so many children and families

Choir Performs at The Collingwood Centre
The choir brought some festive cheer to the Collingwood Centre this week. They performed a selection of songs for the Lunch Group, filling the room with seasonal spirit. They also sang for a group of adults with additional needs and their carers, who had been invited over from the library. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to share their music with the wider community and to help spread a little joy at this special time of year.

The children had the opportunity to meet the Mayor, learn about her role within the community, and ask thoughtful questions. Autumn Term 2025 Dear Parents and Carers We are well and truly in the season of cold and wet weather. As such, we wanted to remind parents of our procedures in the event of adverse weather - particularly now we have moved to Arbor messages rather than texts. In the event of adverse weather, all efforts will be made to keep school open in order to minimise disruption to our children’s education and support working families. However, in

Resilient Year 5/6 Girls Secure 1–0 Away Victory!
This afternoon the Year 5/6 girls football team played away against Millfield. Despite missing 2 key outfield players and our usual goalkeeper, the girls managed to win 1 - 0. We were lucky with the goal, as it was an own goal that settled the difference although we were probably the stronger team. Evie did an excellent job standing in as goalkeeper and Evelyn had a great game in defence.

Year 1 Step into the Past!
Thursday 13th November 2025 Year 1 had an exciting day at the Museum of Childhood at Sudbury, enhancing their learning in history. The children became toy detectives, exploring toys from the past and comparing them to the ones they play with today. They also stepped back in time to experience what it was like to go to school during the Victorian period.
