Tuesday 18th November the boys Year 5/6 football team played in a tournament at Bescott Stadium. They played 4 games, beating Christchurch 4-0 and Holy Trinity 2-1, and drew against Short Heath 2-2, and County Bridge 0-0. Unfortunately they didn't get through to the final but did beat Mayfield convincingly in a friendly while the final was being played.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who generously donated to Children in Need. Your support will made a real difference to a very worthwhile cause, helping to change the lives of vulnerable children across the UK. Children across school had a non-uniform day and some of our younger children joined Joe Wicks for his Live Activate session and listened to a special Children In Need story.

On Tuesday 18th November, the boys’ team went to Croft Academy and played on their all-weather pitch. Pheasey won 2–0! Well done!

Thursday 13th November 2025 Year 1 had an exciting day at the Museum of Childhood at Sudbury, enhancing their learning in history. The children became toy detectives, exploring toys from the past and comparing them to the ones they play with today. They also stepped back in time to experience what it was like to go to school during the Victorian period. On Thursday 13th November the Year 5/6 girls football team played against Castlefort and won 7-0. The girls played confidently and with great composure, passing the ball around from the back and playing for each other. They were well organised so a big shout out to our new PE coach, Mr Wheelwright! Well done Amelia who scored 5 goals before coming off.

A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for Reception’s Phonics Workshops. The children were so excited to share their learning with their grown-ups, and it was wonderful to see such enthusiasm in the room. We hope you found the session useful and that it provided some helpful ideas to support phonics learning at home.

Our school joined thousands of others across the country to celebrate Odd Socks Day 2025 – a fun and colourful way to kick off Anti-Bullying Week. Children came to school wearing their brightest, boldest, and most mismatched socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique. Odd Socks Day reminds us that it’s okay to be different and that our differences make our school community stronger. It’s also a time to talk about kindness, respect, and standing up for others.

Year 6 Badgeholders proudly represented our school at the Remembrance Wreath Laying Ceremony at Barr Beacon War Memorial. The event was led by the Mercian and Staffordshire Volunteer Regimental Associations and supported by the Barr Beacon Trust. The children had a memorable experience, learning about the importance of remembrance and the significance of honouring our fallen soldiers.

Our Year 5 and 6 children who attend Art Club have been focusing on seasonal art this term. So far, they’ve created beautiful autumn wreaths inspired by the colours of the season and vibrant firework pictures.

On Thursday 23rd October 2025 a Year 4 boys football team went to Streetly to take part in a football tournament aimed at giving boys who haven't played football a go and taking part in an event representing their school. The lost their first game 5- 0 against an experienced side. They played better in the next game losing 3- 0 and then drew their final game. The all enjoyed the experience and represented the school well.
