Children have had a lovely day celebrating European Day of Languages! Each year group focused on a different language, taking part in fun activities, exploring different cultures and learning some key words and phrases. The whole school had a very exciting visit from the Animal Man company! The children were introduced to a wide variety of fascinating creatures, including an owl, a honey bear, snakes and even a tarantula! The visit sparked lots of curiosity and excitement as the children learned interesting facts about each animal.

Our Year 6 pupils had an action-packed three days at Laches Wood, taking on new challenges, trying things they had never done before and making memories they will treasure. From the high ropes and BMX to axe throwing there was something to challenge and excite everyone. Issue 1 - Autumn term 2026 Dear families, Welcome to Autumn term 2026! I hope that you enjoyed your summer breaks - I'm sure many of you were ready for the children to return to school! I have very much enjoyed my first three weeks at Pheasey Park Farm Primary School. Staff, families and children have made myself and Mrs Dollery very welcome! This week, we have been celebrating National Coding Week! The children have been learning about what coding is and how we use instructions to make things happen. They then had the opportunity to put their learning into practice by taking part in a fun coding activity. It was fantastic to see the children developing their problem-solving, logical thinking and computational skills while having fun with coding! Year 1 having fun coding!

We hope you have all had a lovely summer break and enjoyed spending time with your family. We are excited to welcome everyone back to school tomorrow and begin another fantastic year together! Summer Term 2026 Dear Parents and Carers, Last newsletter of the year and the last newsletter written by me! What an emotional day it has been for our Year 6 children (and parents...and staff!). These children have embraced all that the last year has had to offer - their excellent performance in Joseph, their end of year SATs results, their reports and their Leavers Assembly today. Our Year 6 children absolutely blew our socks off with their incredible performance of Joseph! Their talent, confidence, enthusiasm, and teamwork shone through from start to finish, making it a performance to remember. We are so proud of every single child for their hard work and dedication. What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their primary school journey—well done, Year 6!

For their final meeting of the year, our Eco Warriors requested a birdwatch, so on Friday we took our packed lunches out onto the field and enjoyed lunch surrounded by nature. We used the Merlin app to listen to the sounds of birds; we heard blue tits, sparrows and a magpie and we saw pigeons, blue tits and black birds! We even saw a pigeon protecting its nest! Such a lovely idea from the Eco Warriors and a tradition we hope to continue.

We are delighted to have once again been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag, with Merit! The assessors were impressed with the school’s engagement in a range of environmental issues across the community. They were pleased to hear about the success of our textile collections, Christmas jumper stall and book swaps. These events could not go ahead without your support, so thank you! The Eco Warriors are very proud of their achievement – and so they should be!

Year 1 had a fantastic time taking part in their Scootability session! They learned all about staying safe on their scooters, including the important safety checks to carry out before setting off and the many benefits of scooting, such as keeping active and helping the environment. Our Year 5/6 girls' cricket team travelled to Wolverhampton University to compete in an exciting cricket tournament against schools from across the area. The team played four matches during the day, winning one and losing three. Throughout the tournament, the girls showed great determination, teamwork and resilience, giving their best in every game. Most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, developed their cricket skills and represented the school with pride.

Year 5 put their own spin on Benjamin Zephaniah's Funky Chicken in English this week! They worked together to rewrite the poem, used Purple Mash to create a beat, and then performed their own fantastic version.
