Well done to our Year 2 children, who put on a wonderful performance of Cinderella and Rockerfella. We are so proud of their confidence, enthusiasm, and hard work. They entertained us all with a fantastic show!

Our Year 5/6 girls' cricket team travelled to Wolverhampton University to compete in an exciting cricket tournament against schools from across the area. The team played four matches during the day, winning one and losing three. Throughout the tournament, the girls showed great determination, teamwork and resilience, giving their best in every game. Most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, developed their cricket skills and represented the school with pride.

Year 5 put their own spin on Benjamin Zephaniah's Funky Chicken in English this week! They worked together to rewrite the poem, used Purple Mash to create a beat, and then performed their own fantastic version.

Year 3 enjoyed an exciting visit to Dudley Zoo to support their science learning about animals. During the trip, pupils had the opportunity to observe a wide variety of animals and learn about different species from around the world. They explored the zoo's habitats, discovered interesting facts about animal adaptations and behaviours.

Year 2 had a fantastic visit to Tamworth Castle, where they explored the castle and dressed up in historical costumes, bringing history to life through hands-on learning.

A fantastic afternoon at the Elston Hall World Cup Football Tournament for Year 5 and 6 ⚽️ Round 1 ended with a 3-0 win against Goldthorn with goals from Reggie, Hayden and Mason. Round 2 saw us win again 1-0 against Palmers Cross with a goal from Mason. Round 3 was our top game against Tipton Green where we won 4-0, a hat trick from Mason and a goal from Reggie. Children who have been learning woodwind instruments enjoyed the opportunity to perform and celebrate their achievements from across the year. Their confident performances highlighted the progress they have made and the commitment they have shown.

Children who have been taking string lessons enjoyed performing and showcasing everything they have learned throughout the year. They played with confidence and enthusiasm, demonstrating the skills they have developed through their hard work, dedication and practice.

Year 4 enjoyed performing to parents and carers on the steel pans, showcasing everything they have learned throughout the year. Year 1 had a wonderful time visiting Beacon Church. During their visit, the children learned about baptism and enjoyed acting out a baptism using Elsa the doll. They also took part in creative activities, making a colourful cross and creating a beautiful dove collage. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about an important Christian celebration in a fun and engaging way.

On Friday, 12th June 2026, our school celebrated our annual Pyjamarama event, with children and staff embracing the fun by coming to school in their favourite pyjamas. Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of exciting literacy activities inspired by much-loved authors, characters and stories. A year 5/6 boys cricket team went to Aldridge Cricket Club to play in a cricket tournament on Tuesday 9th June. They played 5 matches, winning against Pelsall Village, but losing against Whetstone, Palfrey, Walsall Wood and Mayfield. The boys all played their best and enjoyed the event.

Year 6 had a wonderful day on their Summer trip to Woodlands. They worked hard on all the outdoor activities and helped each other with teamwork. It was lovely to hear that they represented the school so well and 'got stuck in'!! Thank you to all the staff who also had a lovely time!!!

Our Year 4 children had a fantastic time on their residential visit to Whitemoor Lakes. They enjoyed a wide range of exciting activities, including raft building, zip wiring, orienteering, climbing and a disco. Summer Term 2026 Dear Parents and Carers, The children have enjoyed lots of activities in school over the last half term. There have been visitors to the school and trips out of school all of which provide opportunities to enhance our curriculum. Next half term is also packed with events and opportunities for the children - not least all the preparations for our Year 6 pupils as they draw to the end of their Primary School Years.

Year 5 children visited Beacon Church to explore a range of Christian artefacts and learn more about the Christian faith. During the visit, they examined important objects used in worship, including the Bible, candles, the font, the altar and the cross. What a wonderful show! Our Year 4 children put on an outstanding performance of the Greatest Show this week. There were solos, group singing, ensembles, dance routines and many lines to learn and they all did a brilliant job, each and every one.
