Here at Pheasey Park Farm Primary School, we strongly believe that every single child can achieve their goals and be whatever they want to be. We encourage high aspirations for all. All staff support children in breaking down barriers to their learning in order to reach their potential and thrive in the learning environment. In this area, you will find useful links to external agencies, resources to support your child access their learning and help and advice. If you have any concerns about your child’s educational needs, then please contact Mrs Mayou or another member of the SEND team who will be happy to help.

The Burrow
The Burrow was opened in 2024 as a designated space for children to regulate. Selected children are invited to attend in the mornings to support a variety of needs. Children are also provided with breakfast. The Burrow is open daily between 8:40 - 9am to provide these identified children with a 'soft start' to their school day. During the school day, groups of children use this space to burn off energy, learn regulation strategies, have some quiet time or learn through play. If you feel your child would benefit from access to The Burrow, please contact the SENDCo.

Supporting Emotional Regulation
At Pheasey Park Farm, we recognise the importance of helping children develop the skills to understand and regulate their emotions. To support this, we have a range of spaces and resources throughout the school that promote emotional wellbeing and self-regulation, including regulation stations in every classroom, regulation walks within the corridors, our sensory circuit room, and The Burrow.
Our classroom regulation stations provide children with opportunities to practise self-regulation within their learning environment. Children are supported through co-regulation with a trusted adult and can access a range of resources and strategies to help them manage their emotions and develop effective regulation skills.
At times, some children may benefit from a quieter space away from the classroom. Our regulation walks, located in corridor areas around the school, offer a variety of activities designed to help children refocus, regulate their emotions, and return to learning successfully.
Our sensory circuit room provides a structured programme of physical activities that helps children regulate their sensory needs, improve focus, and prepare for learning. The circuit includes a combination of alerting, organising, and calming activities, such as jumping, balancing, and stretching. Sensory circuits may be used at key points throughout the day to support concentration, emotional regulation, and successful participation in classroom learning.
