Year 3 and 4 Art Club
The children also made their own autumn wreaths, using paper plates decorated with a variety of leaf cut-outs, conkers, and autumn animals. The finished wreaths looked beautiful when displayed during the autumn season.
In celebration of Halloween, we designed themed puppets. The children demonstrated wonderful creativity in their use of colour and thoroughly enjoyed bringing their puppets to life.
Shortly afterwards, we moved on to bonfire and firework-inspired artwork. Using oil pastels, black paper, and tissue paper, the children produced striking pieces that captured the vibrancy and excitement of fireworks.
Towards the end of the term, we embraced the festive spirit with a range of Christmas-themed activities. These included designing posters to promote the Christmas Fair and creating delightful decorations to help make the school feel festive and welcoming.

We have been busy exploring a wide range of artistic activities. We began the term by creating our own paintings using an unconventional technique—painting with the opposite end of our paintbrushes. This resulted in a collection of unique and impressive designs.

Year 5 and 6 Art Club
Our Year 5 and 6 children have been focusing on seasonal art this term. So far, they’ve created beautiful autumn wreaths inspired by the colours of the season and vibrant firework pictures.

Netball
This term, children explored the basic fundamentals of netball, focusing on passing, footwork, and teamwork. They learned how to shoot accurately and defend effectively, developing confidence in both attacking and defensive roles. The sessions also introduced High Fives Netball, giving pupils the opportunity to experience real game situations and apply their skills in a fun, competitive environment. Their enthusiasm and progress have been fantastic!
Gardening
Gardening Club children delighted in exploring for signs of autumn. The activity encouraged curiosity, observation, and a deeper connection with nature—reminding us all that the garden has something new to share in every season.
Children enjoyed a hands‑on project creating bird feeders to help wildlife through the colder months.

Language Club
The Language Club has been learning Spanish, covering colours, numbers, basic greetings, and body parts. Alongside this, we explored Spanish culture, food, and festivals.
The children created the iconic Spanish bull in the abstract style of Picasso, cooked paella entirely from scratch, and designed posters for Spain’s famous Tomato Festival and the Human Tower Festival, both celebrated annually.
