Year 6 Career Talks

Year 6 students had an exciting careers talk with professionals from diverse fields today. This included a very brave firefighter, a talented author and business owner who shared insights into her street dance company and her nursery. We also had a humanitarian head of IT sourcing at Lloyds Bank, and a skilled cost reductions engineer who works for Polestars Cars. The importance of determination, resilience and staying focused were highlighted and equally importantly, the significance of contributing to society in a positive way as responsible citizens. The children learned about the various skills required for each job and asked thoughtful questions, gaining valuable insights into different career paths. The experience broadened their horizons and sparked curiosity and potential future careers.
