MFL club has been very enjoyable for the children.
The children learned some information about where Spanish is spoken then looked at the cultural food, music and traditions that are part of Spain. The children then learned how to say colours in Spanish using Language Nut and played the interactive games to support their understanding.

They went on to learn basic greetings and numbers all in Spanish. The children were given devices to access the quizzes and games and work on their pronunciation of Spanish words. They combined all their knowledge to make posters showcasing their Spanish language skills.

Then we moved on to learning French. Again, we looked at which countries spoke French and in particular, France. The children learned greetings, numbers and food items in French. We finished MFL club with a French day and included decorations, music and French food. Some children were very reluctant to try the food but once they did they really enjoyed it. One child suggested when clubs return back, to learn some Punjabi which she can help us with.
