History

Pupil Voice

I love how we have visiting workshops which really bring our learning to life!  I will always remember the Roman battle we had with shields on the field.  The Greek day in Year 4 was also a great day to remember!

History Workshop 2

Year 1 enjoyed learning all about the Stone Age. They stepped back into the Stone Age and tried out some of the games and jobs children would have done 1000 years ago!  They learned about the food that they would have eaten at the time and how they would make flour - they tried this too!

Year 2 History Workshop

Year 2 enjoyed their History Workshop called 'Medieval Knights'. We learned about the duties of a knight and looked at the different artefacts. Children then played medieval games, designed their own coat of arms and learned about the Crusades.

Year 3 History Workshop

Year 3 had a great day when they went back to the Stone Age and learnt what life was like in a stone age tribe. They explored cave paintings, created their own, enjoyed archery and made Stone Age weapons.

What a fantastic experience our Year 5 pupils from our school had on their trip to Barr Beacon to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day!
