Welcome back to all the children continuing their Nursery journey, and a very warm welcome to those who are just beginning theirs. We hope you have all had a wonderful summer break and are looking forward to an exciting and fun-filled term.
In Nursery, we are active learners. Throughout the autumn term, we will support your child as they settle into their new environment and routines while introducing them to a wide range of engaging learning opportunities. Children will be encouraged to develop their curiosity, critical thinking, and independence through play and exploration. This approach will continue throughout their time in Nursery.
Our Nursery sessions run:

Morning: 8:45 am – 11:45 am

Afternoon: 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
We operate an open-door policy, so please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Nursery team if you have any questions, concerns, or messages.
This term is all about getting to know one another—children, parents, and staff alike.
Our topic for the first half of the autumn term is: ‘Happy to be me!'
After the half-term break, our topic will be: ‘Come and join the celebration’.
Outdoor Learning
Outdoor learning is an important part of our curriculum, so please ensure your child brings a suitable coat every day and a pair of wellington boots for wet weather.
Through stories and play-based learning, we will build positive relationships and create a strong sense of belonging within our Nursery community. Children will have many opportunities to develop their language and communication skills through play, games, singing, storytelling, and group activities, both indoors and outdoors.
During the first term, we will also encourage your child to become increasingly independent and confident in everyday routines, such as using the toilet, putting on their coat, tidying away resources, and making their own choices during play.
Over the next few weeks, as we get to know the children, each child will be allocated a Key Worker. We will let you know who your child's Key Worker is once this process has been completed.
