Pheasey Park Farm Primary School Early Years Centre is run by the Governors of Pheasey Park Farm School.  The Early Years Centre is an integral part of the school offering support for families and child-care which was cited as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in 2017.

Due to increasing numbers we are looking to appoint Early Years Practitioners and Lunchtime supervisors to work across the Centre including before, after school and lunch time cover.

The Nursery provides full day care provision for children aged 0 months to 4 years, as well as wraparound for 3 and 4 years accessing their Nursery Education funded places and before and after school clubs.  We are currently redesigning our provision to better meet the needs of our local community whilst further developing our business model to ensure its’ sustainability.  The successful applicants will strengthen the Nursery staff team and contribute positively to a high quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities for Early Years’ Practitioner roles include:

  • To assist Room leaders in providing an organised, welcoming and stimulating learning environment for all children;

  • Supporting all children in achieving their developmental milestones;

  • To implement the planned programme of activities as arranged by the room leader;

  • To carry out children’s observation in order to support the assessment of their learning and development;

  • To communicate with parents to achieve a positive relationship that supports their children’s well-being.

The post will work under the direction of the Early Years Centre Manager/Head Teacher.

Successful applicants will be team players and demonstrate excellent organisational, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for all these posts prior to commencement.

Relevant medical clearance will also be required for successful candidates.

Informal visits to the School and Early Years Centre are warmly welcomed.

Please contact Mrs L Smith or Miss T Ilsley, Early Years Centre Managers to make an appointment.

Application forms and further details are available at the top of this page.
